Billing
System Upgrades
c2i2
now has an entirely new billing system in place. The new system,
powered by Boardtown
Platypus software, automates several processes that
previously were done by hand. The new system integrates billing
and payment functions with login authorization and email
management. As a result, you can now
view your account
online,
change email addresses in your account, change passwords and other
functions. You can also use the system to request support or
changes. The new system fully supports automated signup and is
encrypted and secure.
As
a result of this change, you will see a new address for mailing
in payments. The new address is

Service Upgrades from c2i2.com
We
have made a significant change in our email service. The result
will be considerably less Spam and Virus messages but will require
some minor changes in how you access your email. The web mail
site has a totally new appearance and uses Vircom software instead
of Squirrel mail. When logging into the mailbox, please
use the complete email address including the domain name, i.e., emailaddress@c2i2.com.
The new email software has some enhanced features which we hope you
will like and you will see a significant decline in Spam and Virus
messages.
You
may also need to update the settings in your email software.

You
will see messages from postmaster that indicate a message had harmful
content attached. These may be deleted or read as you prefer but
generally will have contained a virus.
You
can also now review your account online by accessing the
Account Login
or Online Account Access links
here or on our home page. From the login
you can check the status of your account, add or change email
addresses, pay your bill online and other features.
C2I2
Service Upgrade News!
C2I2 has upgraded to a new telecommunications infrastructure with national
dial-up access. This means connectivity to C2I2 from almost
anywhere without the added expense of long distance fees or toll free
numbers* (may not apply in some outlying areas). Equipment will
now support V.92 and V.90 protocols to allow for faster connection
speeds.
See below for new access numbers and
dialing instructions and email information.
How will
this change affect you? You
will now have access to over 6200
dial-up phone numbers throughout
North America. Faster
connection speeds depending on the speed of your modem.
Your user
id and email address remains the same.
Username and Access Number
(These apply to C2I2 full-access accounts only. These changes do
not apply to email only accounts or additional mailbox addresses not used
for internet access.)
It will
be necessary for you to use userid@c2i2.com
for your username due to the updates being made to the Authentication
Servers for C2I2. Userid refers to
your actual username. For example, if your user id is johndoe, this
entry would be johndoe@c2i2.com.
We
have new dial up numbers for customer use. These
numbers are in operation now. Please write yours down:

IMPORTANT NOTICE
You need to be certain that your
computer is not dialing the area code when you are making a local call. The easiest way to
check is to listen as your MODEM dials the number. If you hear more than 7 tones, you may
be dialing extra digits.
We strongly recommend that you check your
settings by opening the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, select "Dial-Up
Networking," use your RIGHT mouse button to select the C2I2 connection, and select
"Properties" from the drop down menu. Please make sure that the phone number
shown is a LOCAL call from your area and that the "Use country code and area code
when dialing" check box is NOT CHECKED.
Please note that in Arizona your local phone
carrier may report a long distance call to your long distance carrier if you dial the area
code, even though the number you are calling is actually local. While credits are
sometimes given by long distance carriers in these circumstances, c2i2 cannot intervene on
your behalf with the phone companies involved and will not be responsible for these types
of charges. Avoid the hassle and make the changes indicated above if you need to.
C2i2.com is in no way responsible for, nor
will it refund any long distance phone charges in connection with your use of the Internet
under any circumstances. The phone number chosen during set-up and subsequent use of the
service is a customer responsibility as are the system settings on your computer. |
